The short version

  • Most files are checked inside your web browser and never leave your device.
  • EPS files are only sent to our server if you click “Run full check.” They are deleted right after, never stored.
  • No accounts, no cookies, no ads, and we never sell or share your information.
  • We count visits with cookie-free analytics so we know if the site is useful.

Your files

Checked in your browser. SVG, PDF, Illustrator (AI), PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP and Photoshop (PSD) files, and EPS files checked with the private check, are read by code running on your own device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. The result exists only in your browser and is gone when you close the page or check another file.

Full EPS check (only if you choose it). When you click “Run full check,” your EPS file is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which runs on Cloudflare. The server converts it to a PDF in memory and sends that PDF back to your browser to be graded. The file and the PDF are discarded as soon as the response is sent. They are never saved to disk, never stored, never viewed by a person, and never used to train AI or for any other purpose. The server keeps one log line per check with the result code, the file size and how long it took. It does not log file names or contents.

What we collect when you visit

  • Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites. It tells us things like how many people visited, which pages they viewed, the site they came from, their country, and their browser and device type.
  • Technical logs. Like every website, our host (Cloudflare) receives your IP address and basic details about each request, such as your browser type and the page requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Our own request logs are kept for up to 7 days. For full EPS checks, your IP address is also used for a moment to limit how many checks one visitor can run per minute. It is not stored for that purpose.
  • Fonts. The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Email. If you email us at hello@isthisavector.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we don’t do

  • No accounts or sign-ups.
  • No cookies, and nothing saved in your browser.
  • No advertising or tracking pixels.
  • No selling, renting or sharing of personal information.
  • No keeping, viewing or reusing your files.

Companies that help run the site

These companies may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We don’t give them your files, except that a full EPS check passes through Cloudflare’s network on its way to our server.

Security

The whole site uses HTTPS. The EPS server runs in an isolated container with no internet access, accepts only EPS files sent from this site, and runs the file in a locked-down mode that can’t read or write other files. The site uses a strict security policy that blocks scripts from anywhere except our own site and Cloudflare’s analytics.

Children

Is This a Vector? is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and rights

Because there are no accounts and we don’t keep your files, there’s usually nothing about you for us to look up or delete. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@isthisavector.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site, and on your request when you choose the full EPS check.

Changes

If we change how the site handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, such as storing files or adding sign-ups, we’ll say so on the site before it takes effect.
